Fighting Food Waste

Did you know Californians send 11.2 billion pounds of food to landfills each year? Much of this food is still perfectly edible. While this waste occurs, millions of Californians struggle with hunger.

North Valley Community Food Bank is committed to reducing food waste. They support California's SB 1383, which requires a 20% reduction in edible food going to landfills by 2025. This law helps feed those in need, saves valuable landfill space, and reduces harmful methane emissions.

Get Involved

Learn how you can support their mission by donating, volunteering, or advocating for food justice. Together, we can build a stronger, healthier community where everyone has access to the nourishment they need.
